Commitment to quality: We believe that all musicians, from beginner to professional, deserve to play on instruments of the highest quality, correctly set-up and properly maintained. Every instrument purchased from The Oboe Shop is professionally set-up by a highly experienced technician in our workshop, and on all new instruments we offer a six month check-over service free of charge.

	Buffet Artiste
	Excellent student instrument made from Grenadilla wood with silver plated keys. ‘Luracast’ lined bore helps to prevent cracking. Possesses covered holes to assist younger students in reaching the larger stretches. Good quality sound and ease of playing makes this instrument suitable for students from the very beginning up to grade six level.
	Howarth S10
	Excellent student instrument made from African Blackwood, with silver plated keys. Possesses covered holes to assist younger students in reaching the larger stretches. Good quality sound and ease of playing makes this instrument suitable for students from the very beginning up to grade six level.
	Sound Alchemy Alpha	POA
	The Sound Alchemy Alpha is a student/intermediate level instrument with a recently upgraded specification. It has the left and right hand trill keys necessary for the repertoire above grade six level and a number of other refinements normally only found on higher priced models, together with superior build and sound quality. Intermediate Models
Intermediate models are still aimed at the student market but have additional keywork which makes them suitable for higher graded examinations together with better quality which enables the player to produce a better quality sound as they improve.

	Howarth S20
	Designed for the keen student player, this instrument produces a rich, full sound and has the additional trill keys suitable for repertoire above grade six level.
	Sound Alchemy Adagio	POA
	An excellent intermediate instrument producing a rich full sound, with the added benefits of dual system and articulated C# - this enables the C# key to close when moving from or to bottom Bb or B natural. Graduate Models
Instruments with some of the features of a professional model. A good choice for the improving player, particularly post-grade six level.

	Cabart Oboe
	Manufactured by Lorée, the Cabart is an excellent graduate level instrument. The instrument possesses dual system with 3rd octave key on the left hand side of the thumbplate. In essence, it possesses nearly all the keywork found on a full gillet model, apart from the double ring on the right hand D key. Due to the quality of the wood and construction of the bore, the Cabart produces a full, rich sound, especially in the second octave.
	Howarth S40C
	Dual system with 3rd octave key on left hand side of thumbplate. Same technical aspects as the Cabart, albeit slightly freer-blowing, with the distinctive Howarth sound.
	Howarth S45C
	Dual system oboe (conservatoire with thumplate) with 3rd octave key on left hand side of thumbplate. Same technical aspects as the Cabart and Howarth S40C. This oboe is designed for the Diploma level player, and retains the distinctive Howarth sound.

	Sound Alchemy Legato	POA
	Dual system with 3rd octave key on left hand side of thumbplate. Same technical aspects as the Cabart and Howarth S40C. All the Sound Alchemy models possess great attention to detail with oiling of the wood of great priority. The Legato produces a full, rich sound, with the bottom notes particularly easy to produce.
